A knowledge audit can be seen as an investigation which is more research base, to determine the knowledge available within organizations as well as the critical knowledge needed in organizations to be successful.

Can a knowledge audit be conducted for a church as an organization?

Yes it can. A knowledge audit (KA) can be conducted in any type of organization. It is one component of Knowledge Management (KM) and also the starting point for introducing KM practice in an organization. KM is also multi-disciplinary in its nature. Therefore, it can be applied across all the various types of organizations. Girrad and Girrad (2015) explained KM as a systematic tool for managing an organization's knowledge assets for the purpose of value creation and meeting strategic goals.
