As described in our previous post, an audit is conducted to investigate what knowledge already exist within an organization as well as; what critical knowledge is needed (also known as the knowledge gap) in an organization to be successful in achieving it strategic goal.

However, another fundamental reason for conduction a knowledge audit is to design a knowledge management plan that will assist an organization to meet its overall business or organizational strategy.

Therefore, the knowledge audit was conducted for this church organization called Faith Revival Ministries (FRM) to identify: (1) the existing knowledge in the organization; (2) the critical knowledge needed within the organization to meets it strategic goals; (3) to use the findings of the audit to design a knowledge management plan to assist the church in meeting it's overall organizational strategy.
